Daily Solitaire Deal
Every day each game on SolitaireBay has one deal that is the same for everyone. Pick a game in the tabs above the table, play today’s cards, and compare notes with anyone who played the same day. There is no ranking and no prize. It is simply a fixed puzzle you can talk about.
How the daily deal works
- One deal per game. Klondike, Spider, FreeCell, Pyramid and TriPeaks each get their own deal. Changing tabs changes the game, not the date.
- From the winnable pool. The deal is taken from the same pool as the default deals: an offline solver has found a winning line for it. As on the other pages, that does not make it easy, and you do not see what the solver saw.
- Chosen in advance. Which deal falls on which day is written in a fixed schedule that ships with the site. Once a date is published, its deal does not change.
- Resolved in your browser. The page reads the date on your device, converts it to UTC and looks up the deal. There is no server call and no sign-in.
When does it change?
The deal changes at 00:00 UTC, whatever time zone you are in. That is a clock everybody can agree on, but it lands at different local times. In New York it is 8 p.m. while daylight saving time is in force and 7 p.m. otherwise. In London it is 1 a.m. in summer and midnight in winter. If you play late in the evening, check which date the page shows.
Your streak
The site keeps a streak of consecutive UTC days on which you finished a daily deal. Finish one today and the streak grows by one. Skip a whole UTC day and it starts again from zero.
The streak lives in your browser’s local storage, under the key sb.daily.streak. That means it stays on your device. It does not follow you to another browser or phone, and it disappears if you clear the site data. The privacy page lists every entry the game stores.
Share your result
When you finish a daily deal, the Daily page offers a short text result that you can copy: the game, the date, your time and your number of moves. Paste it into a message, a chat or a note. Nothing is sent anywhere by the site; copying is a button on your own screen.
Because everyone plays the same cards, two results from the same day are comparable. Fewer moves and a faster time are the natural ways to compare, but the site does not rank or publish them.
Daily deal or a fresh deal?
A daily deal is a fixed deal, so it works well for a quick comparison. If you want to practice a game without a date attached, use the game page and press New deal. The rules are the same. The how to play page links to the rules of each game, and you can open Klondike, Spider, FreeCell, Pyramid or TriPeaks directly.
